At the time, I was seeing how many different kinds of letters I could make...letters out of fire, letters out of flowers, letters out of clouds. It wasn’t just lettering, but is was part of something else. In this poster you can see how I created lettering in the form of flowers. I wanted to use flower lettering but I figured I’d put them in a vase. In addition, when you turn the image upside down, you can see a woman’s face in the vase. I used a dark background to make the image stand out better.”
